The 2025 Volvo S60: The Final Year for the Sedan in the U.S.

After Volvo successfully began production of the EX90 at their South Carolina plant, it was announced that the production of the S60 sedan would be coming to an end. This decision was made to focus on the all-new EX90 model. The S60 received a few more days of production before ending in June 2024 for the U.S. and some other markets.

The delay in EX90 production likely extended the lifespan of the S60, resulting in a 255% increase in sales so far this year. The production of the S60 will continue at Volvo’s Chengdu, China plant, but these models will not be available in the U.S.

The South Carolina facility is now focusing on increasing output of the Volvo EX90 and the upcoming Polestar 3. The S60 has not undergone any major revisions since its introduction in 2019, still offering fantastic styling, a luxurious interior, and advanced technology.

Until inventory runs out, the S60 is available in three trims priced from $45,000 to $53,000 before options. All models are powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder mild hybrid engine producing 247 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque.
