New Kia Carnival hybrid minivan introduced with a starting price just over $40,000

The versatile Carnival MPV from Kia is getting an update this month, with enhancements to both its appearance and technology. The new addition to the lineup is the Carnival Hybrid, which features a turbo hybrid engine and various exclusive features. Prices for the hybrid models start at $41,895 and go up to $53,995, including the destination charge. Meanwhile, the non-hybrid models for 2025 range from $37,895 to $51,995.

The Carnival Hybrid is powered by a 1.6-liter turbo-hybrid engine paired with a 54kW motor and a six-speed automatic transmission. This combination delivers a total output of 242 horsepower and 271 lb.-ft. of torque, with fuel efficiency details yet to be released.

Exclusive features for the Carnival Hybrid include 17-inch aerodynamic wheels, Active Air Flaps in the front fascia, and paddle regenerative braking. The non-hybrid models continue to offer the V6 engine with 287 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque.

Inside the Carnival, you’ll find luxurious Star Map interior lighting, “Slide-Flex” seating for eight passengers, and advanced technology features like a voice recognition system and an 11-inch Head Up Display. The exterior of the minivan has been updated with a new grille and headlamps, while the interior boasts a combination of digital displays for enhanced convenience and entertainment.
