Land Rover to Honor Connection with UK Royal Family at Pebble Beach

The British royal family has been a loyal customer of Land Rover for many years. As the brand prepares to split into three entities, it will come together at the 2024 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance to showcase 10 of the off-roaders it has specially built for British royalty.

Curating this display was a challenge, as some of the vehicles are still owned by the royal family, while others are in private collections or with Land Rover’s Classic division. The upcoming showcase at Pebble Beach will be the first time these 10 vehicles are brought together in the United States, and a British garden party will be held to celebrate the occasion.

Among the notable vehicles in the collection is a 1954 Series I State Review vehicle, which was used by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip during a tour of the Commonwealth. Another highlight is a 2009 Range Rover that became Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite vehicle and was frequently driven by her. The collection also includes a 1966 Series IIa Station Wagon, the first to be powered by a six-cylinder engine, and a 1974 Range Rover used as a State Review vehicle.

Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is scheduled for August 18, 2024.
