BMW M5 2025 receives final teaser before upcoming release

This year has seen plenty of anticipation building up for the new Golf R from Volkswagen and the next-generation M5 from BMW. Both companies have been teasing these models for quite some time now, but it seems like we’re finally getting closer to their official reveals. BMW recently announced that the M5 is almost done with its pre-production testing phase and will soon be making its way to dealer showrooms.

Some details about the new M5 have also been leaked, including its weight of 2,435 kilograms. This is significantly heavier than its predecessor, the previous M5, and even heavier than the current 2024 540i xDrive. However, these extra pounds are apparently justified by the car’s hybrid setup, which will deliver an impressive 718 horsepower and 760 lb-ft of torque.

The M5’s design is also getting some updates, with spy shots revealing sharper bodywork and aerodynamic features. The front bumper now has larger openings, the kidney grille is illuminated, and the rear end sports a chunky diffuser with quad exhausts. Overall, the new M5 seems to be promising a blend of power, performance, and modern design elements.

Production for the sedan is expected to begin in July 2024, with the M5 Touring following suit in November. This means that we can likely expect the official unveiling of these exciting new models in the near future.
