Ayvens and BYD collaborate to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility in Europe

Ayvens has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with BYD, an electric vehicle manufacturer, to facilitate the distribution of electric passenger and light commercial vehicles across Europe.

This partnership aims to cater to both corporate and retail customers.

The MOU will allow Ayvens to provide comprehensive electric vehicle fleet solutions to its European clients, including advisory, operational leasing, and complete charging services for BYD’s electric vehicle range.

During the first year of collaboration, the goal is to assist over 30 European businesses in transitioning to electric fleets.

Ayvens will also offer full-service leasing options to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and private individuals through BYD’s dealership network under a white-label arrangement.

Initially, these operational leasing services will be available in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg, with plans to expand into other European markets.

The partnership between Ayvens and BYD goes beyond vehicle distribution, encompassing collaborative efforts in retail and operational lease cooperation to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility in Europe.

BYD chairman and president Wang Chuanfu stated, “Innovation and collaboration are crucial in advancing the global transition to new energy vehicles (NEVs). Our cooperation with Ayvens aligns with our shared vision to expedite the development of NEV markets in Europe.

“Globally, BYD’s innovation in sustainable technology is shaping the future of mobility and providing exceptional EV experiences while working towards reducing carbon emissions.”

Furthermore, the MOU enables joint initiatives in training and knowledge exchange to promote continuous improvement and innovation in the field of new energy vehicles and battery technology.

Ayvens group CEO Tim Albertsen expressed, “With BYD, we share a common commitment to promoting low carbon transportation for a more sustainable world. BYD is a leader in new energy vehicle development, and we are excited to collaborate to expand the availability of electric vehicles in Europe and innovate around electric vehicles and battery technology.”

In a separate study conducted by JudgeService, BYD was identified as the most recognized new car brand among UK buyers.

The research, based on a survey of 1,244 car owners, placed BYD at the forefront of brand awareness, surpassing other new entrants from China, the US, and Vietnam.

BYD’s recognition in the UK is significant, with 13% of survey participants acknowledging the brand, outperforming manufacturers like Polestar and NIO.

Notably, brands such as Rivian, WM Motor, Vin Fast, and Fisker did not feature in the survey’s spontaneous awareness rankings.
